10/27/2023 IMPORTANT Update 11:30am
Comcast had decided to do a system wide upgrade in my area without notice...
Imagine that.... Well it shouldn't have been a problem but they decided to change all the IP addresses too..........
Most all of the servers have been updated, but the new IP's will have to propagate throughout our network for the next few hours.
This also means for users on Hotspots, Pi-Stars or Open Spots, you will need to run the update feature to re-generate the host files.
If you're having an issue connecting to XLX625 in any mode, update your host files. If that's not correcting your issue let me know.
I have checked the host repository for Pi-Star and it is already updated and ready for Pi-Star Updates.
Peanut is still waiting for an update as of 11:30am this morning. David is on a different time zone from us, so this update may happen this evening.
That's all for now -- 73

10/15/2023 Update 4:00pm
All Links and Systems are functioning normally.....
Things found along the way.....
C4FM / Fusion - There seems to be a lag while using YSF Mode, and multiple drop outs.
Hotspot users connecting Fusion Radios should use the Fusion Mode and Link into XLX625A
VIA YSF73601, then enable the YSF2DMR mode. This will place the burden on the XLX625 Network to handle the traffic directly instead of the YSF Reflector servers in Germany.
Another feature coming soon for Yaesu Hotspot users is the CQ-Michigan / WA8BRO Switchboard.
Yaesu Wires-X users will be able to set your Hotspot (Pi-Star) with Wires-X Pass Through on.
You then will be able to use the Wires-X button on your Radio to pick up the switchboard.
You will be presented with Modules A-Z, you can pick the module you'd like to connect to and connect directly to that module right from your Yaesu Radio.
Modules A-Z as listed in the XLX Reflector List or the XLX Dashboard.
This is currently running in test mode on both XLX624 and XLX625, feel free to play.
The links for REF089 Dstar to XLX625 were moved into the cloud as a test last week. This appears to be a good fit. The links are functioning as expected, and latency has improved.

To register for D-Star https://REGIST.dstargateway.org (It is NOT Necessary to have a D-Star Radio)
Users on the WA8BRO system should be registered on the DMR RadioID service and have an available DMR ID Number. (It is NOT Necessary to have a DMR Radio)
The link to Radio ID is RadioID - Home
Any Local user/ or "frequent flyers", MUST have these registrations.
Reason being - system call routing and callsign ID's are very important to the functionality of the WA8BRO systems.

10/1/2023 IMPORTANT NOTICE/ UPDATE #1
One of the DMR Translator servers is having a problem translating D-Star/ DMR back and forth resulting in some one-way conversations to and from D-Star.
The issue is that the WA8BRO callsign is not properly registered with the D-Star Registry/ Trust servers. This is due to the fact the BRO callsign on the Trust Server is listed as a repeater not as a simple user. To correct this, the WA8BRO callsign has to be removed from the US Trust Server, along with all callsigns that were registered on the WA8BRO repeater.
This is going to unregister all the D-Star users from the D-Star US Trust Server who were previously registered by WA8BRO. The WA8BRO will be added back in as a user not a repeater. The translators will then begin to function normally.
This is going to affect the following active WA8BRO D-Star users --
AB8PR
K8NET - Reregistered
KA8WYN - Reregistered
KB8GFF - Reregistered
KB8VLL - Reregistered
W8WAC - Reregistered
WA8BRO - Reregistered
WA8E - Reregistered
WW2MI - Reregistered
The above users will have to re-register on the D-Star US trust server at:
https://REGIST.dstargateway.org
Currently the D-Star team is working on making this happen. I don't have a schedule when it will actually occur. I will post here when i get word or see it happen. If you run into D-Star difficulty, please let me know.
You can check your D-Star Registration from this link, if you are showing active DO NOT reregister yet...
DStar-Repeater/Gateway - WB1GOF<br>Registration-Check (dstargateway.org)
This does not indicate an end to the BRO D-Star repeater just another stumbling block to getting it back on the air.

Local Repeater Network, it is tied in with XLX625C (Work in Progress) TBD 12/31/2023

Group TG4000 Does not Function on the Repeater for Disconnects only Hot-Spots
Note that all Brandmeister Talk Groups are available on Both Time Slots.
The above groups are Static into their respective Talk Groups.
If you key up any Talk Group that is NOT listed as Static Above it will initiate a Dynamic Link to that Talk Group and will Expire within 15 minutes. You can also see this on the Brandmeister Dashboard as an orange lightning bolt, which indicates an active Dynamic Connection. Click on it it will tell you what time the link will expire.
Del - WW2MI
At the present Moment all Brandmeister Talk Groups are available except for 3181 POTA, which had to be blocked until all the users re-program their Local Talk Groups.
As a word of Caution 3126 Michigan - Has a limit of 10minutes per QSO -
Brandmeister has been known to monitor QSO's that go on longer than 10 minutes and have been known to block users radio ID's for this violation. They take this pretty seriously due to so many repeaters being keyed up at the same time.
Also, and Again to be over redundant, make sure to leave spaces between each transmission for others to get into the channel or disconnect if they so desire.
Any Questions, comments or suggestions can be left at the "Get in Touch" Red Button on this website under the Home Page.
